Baroness Floella Benjamin
Baroness Floella Benjamin of Beckenham OBE is an actress, author, businesswoman, award-winning producer, children’s television presenter and is probably best known for appearing in the BBC's iconic Play School and Play Away.Her inspirational talk will appeal to adults and children alike, telling her story from being born in Trinidad, arriving in a cold, unwelcoming UK in 1960 to being elevated to peerage in 2010 and being granted the Freedom of the City of London in 2018.
Her mission is to make the world a better place for children and her book Coming to England, gives an account of her challenging early experiences in Britain.
