FUNDING BOOST FOR South West Bumps & Beyond
Released On 2nd Aug 2021
West Bumps & Beyond has received £500 from Localgiving and Postcode Local Trust, a grant-giving charity funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
The funding boost will enable South West Bumps & Beyond C.I.C to deliver weekly Tots, Tunes & Traditions sessions throughout August in collaboration with Same Difference Dance. Bringing together generations to reconnect through music, movement and making memories. Kizzy, from The Huddle which hosts South West Bumps & Beyond C.I.C, and Ann, from Same Difference Dance, met during the pandemic through Somerset Social Enterprise Network. Working together to reconnect families.
Kizzy and Ann delivered the Tots, Tunes & Traditions session, donating their time, resources and expertise for free during the pilot project in June. Both are really looking forward to being able to continue this project thanks to Magic Little Grant funding. Kizzy said:
“The Covid19 pandemic has kept our little ones and older generations apart for over a year! Missing out on much needed love, connection and shared experiences that all generations benefit from when together. Music is something that brings us together. Watching families reconnecting during our pilot project, where they were enjoying the shared experience of traditional songs and rhymes warmed my heart. ”
Tots Tunes & Traditions will be running every week on a Thursday at 10am & 12.30pm. Sessions are all standalone and every session unique, so you can book on every week or just come for the odd session.
Families are invited to come along with their little one (0-4yrs), parent and grandparent/relative for just £7.50. Booking is essential - https://TheHuddleYeovil.as.me/TotsTunesTraditions
