Legendary drummer for Nile Rodgers and Chic comes to Yeovil

DRUM.DOG is a local drum education company based in our own studio as well as our drum store within Waterloo Music, Yeovil. We like to announce our fourth live drum clinic.

What’s a drum clinic?
Well it’s part performance and part masterclass. Normally it features a famous or professional drummer who will not only inspire you with their playing ability but will also share insights into their playing techniques and experience in the world of professional music. Not only enjoyed by drummers, a drum clinic is a great event for anyone with an interest or aspirations in music and learning what life is like as a pro musician on the road with some of the world’s most famous artists.

In the past we have been lucky enough to host amazing drummers such as “Steve White” who has toured was Oasis, The Who and not to mention over twenty years with Paul Weller and last month we hosted “Robert Brian” who has played drums on many platinum selling and Grammy award winning records.

Now we are presenting our biggest event yet with the legendary drummer of Nile Rodgers and Chic. From as far back as he can remember, Ralph has always marched to the beat of a different drum. Hailing from The Bronx, New York, he has had an illustrious career over four decades in music. Currently, Ralph is the drummer with Nile Rodgers and Chic and he has also made music with the likes of Lady Gaga at the Grammy Awards last year, Elvis Costello, Al Green, Slash, Chaka Khan and countless more.

As soon at word got out that we were planning to host Ralph, Jean-Pierre (new Manager of the Manor Hotel, Yeovil) immediately offered his stunning function room as the venue, so a licensed bar will be available and will be a great opportunity for like-minded people to chat after the show.
