THE School in a Bag charity, which is based near Yeovil, will once again be holding a pop-up shop in the Quedam Shopping Centre in the weeks before Christmas.

The charity brings hope to thousands of orphaned and impoverished children around the globe with a simple SchoolBag packed with educational equipment.

The School in a Bag team is delighted that it will get the chance to meet with local shoppers in the six weeks leading up the festive season – thanks to the Quedam.

In the same outlet as last year, next to Primark, there will be the opportunity to fund, pack and track a SchoolBag, giving one of the 262 million children around the world who do not get the opportunity to go to school, the chance of an education and a lifeline out of poverty.

The gift of a SchoolBag makes the perfect Christmas present for a loved one, friend or even a Secret Santa gift!

As a team of four, the charity relies on a big team of volunteers to help run the shop to have it open every day for the six weeks.

If it is something you would be interested in helping with - a half day or day a week, or just a couple of shifts, the charity would love to hear from you!

You don’t need any retail experience or prior knowledge of the charity, just the energy to help, able to chat to people and a big smile is always good.
